I'm currently overhearing a somewhat depressing conversation. My friend is having a go at her boyfriend, calling him sad for being able to discuss Lord Of the Rings at length and telling him and his friend to not even talk about it in front of her. In her own words "It's several things.... cool isn't one of them."
Now, this friend of mine has always been a nerd of the academic variety, has NEVER been classed as cool (as far as social groups/fashion goes) and she calls herself liberal minded.
This I find horribly hypocritical. Enough to write a bitchy DA journal about.
